I wanted to trace my past to make sense of the present. After living in Canada for many years, I returned to photograph Hong Kong, a place of my childhood.
The Tai Nan Street series hints at that feeling of not belonging, of someone who feels or dreams in two languages. I invite the viewer to experience images that mix the real with the dreamlike, the fictional with remembered truths.
